Our Founder
Kelsey Lichtenstein, CEO and Founder
Kelsey Lichtenstein has been mentoring and educating children, and parents, for nearly 20 years. Originally from Colorado, Kelsey calls Southern California home with her husband, Eric, and their two English Bulldogs. Kelsey’s passion and enthusiasm for life, people, ideas, and learning are evident in her everyday life. She strives to inspire a love for learning by encouraging curiosity and exploration. Teaching HOW and WHY, the essence of critical thinking and problem solving, are two essential skills rooted in Aspen Learning’s philosophy. Taking a very progressive, creative, and holistic approach to learning, Kelsey aspires to change the face of education by helping families discover that there’s not just one journey for every child – the options are limitless and we have the power to cultivate our own path through creative thinking, innovation, and community.
Sally Corum, Team Leader
Sally Corum has worked with Aspen Learning Lab since 2015, both as a Teacher and Team Leader. Currently, she works closely with our families and teachers alike building relationships, assisting with program development and curriculum, client happiness, and everything in between. Sally is passionate about customized learning and works closely with our teachers to develop a personalized plan for each child to meet their needs and goals. Her goal is to empower students academically, socially, and emotionally so they are prepared for their future. Sally has years of experience as an upper level homeschool math teacher at Aspen Learning Lab where she implemented customized programming that she’s now able to share with other families, students, and teachers.
Sally graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and a minor in economics from the University of Louisville. This is where she started her career in education, tutoring the NCAA basketball team, as well as teaching in the school’s math lab. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Los Angeles and started working for Aspen Learning Lab, educating middle and high school students in math and science. She strived to help students find a love for these subjects through collaboration and conversation in order to encourage questions and curiosity. She has always resonated with the approach at Aspen Learning Lab of customizing curricula to create the most engaging learning environment for students. This approach has proven successful as her students have gone on to continue their education at colleges like UC Berkeley, NYU, LMU, and Pepperdine University to name a few. In 2023, Sally became Aspen Learning Lab’s Team Leader, where she provides extraordinary educational guidance to our teachers, support to our parents, and a wealth of knowledge to our students.

Our talented team of educators has more than 140 years of combined experience in the classroom and expertise in more than 55 subject areas. In addition to this wealth of professional experience, our teachers bring a global perspective to their teaching with more than nine languages spoken across our team and travel to more than 26 countries outside of the US.
