Scotty
Scotty is a career educator, committed to delivering rigorous, joyful, and personalized learning experiences to every student he teaches. He’s currently pursuing a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Arts in Education at Stanford University. Before Stanford, he spent over a decade teaching and leading in public, charter, and private schools. He began his career teaching 8th grade through Teach for America, then became the Math Academic Dean at Achievement First Summit Middle School in Hartford, Connecticut, before serving as the Assistant Principal at KIPP Triumph Middle School. He’s recently returned to the classroom as a middle school teacher, and his joy lies most in teaching math, reading, writing, and history—especially through project-based units that connect academic skills to real-world topics like economics, debate, and business development.
