What languages do you speak?
I speak English fluently and Armenian conversationally.
Why do you teach?
I teach because I want to bridge the gap between education and understanding. Many students give up on the joy of learning because they don’t understand the tools provided by educators who might not see their struggles. My goal is to be that bridge and help students realize their greatest asset will always be their mind.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, I would love to fly. I enjoy nature, and I’d spend my days soaring through America’s national parks, taking in the beauty the world has to offer.
What three words would your students use to describe you?
Patient, kind, and understanding.
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. It taught me a lot about humanity, the connections people make, and how to view the world around us.
What’s your favorite place to visit in Los Angeles?
My favorite place to visit in Los Angeles is Glendale. As an Armenian, I love the authentic food there, especially at Raffi’s Place; however, Seaweed Handroll Bar is the best sushi I’ve ever had. I’m a big foodie!
Any secret talents?
I’m extremely good at Warzone and other video games.
